The Penn State Nittany Lions' defense was formidable throughout the game, recording two sacks and seven tackles for loss. They also made significant plays in pass defense, with two interceptions and two passes defended. The defensive unit's pressure on the quarterback resulted in 25 yards lost due to sacks and an additional 41 yards lost from tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

On offense, Penn State's passing attack accumulated 247 yards through the air with an average of over seven yards per attempt. The quarterback managed to complete 54 percent of his passes including one touchdown pass that went for 49 yards. In total, eight first downs were achieved via passing plays. The rushing side wasn't as productive but still contributed with one touchdown and a longest run of 34 yards out of their total 50 rushing yards.

Special teams had mixed results; while they successfully converted one field goal from within 29 yards, they missed another attempt from a similar range. However, their punting game excelled as they averaged nearly 54 yards across seven attempts with their longest punt traveling an impressive distance of 76 yards.

The third quarter saw both teams scoring seven points each but it was in the fourth quarter where Penn State pulled ahead by securing nine points against Wisconsin's three points.

The next game for the Penn State Nittany Lions will be held at Beaver Stadium against Ball State Cardinals on September 11 at around half past seven in the evening local time. Fans can catch this upcoming encounter live on Fox Sports network satellite channel number two hundred nineteen.
