In their last game on September 1 against the Houston Cougars, RICE displayed a potent offensive capability with an average gain of nearly 5 yards per play and a total yardage of 428. However, they fell short defensively, allowing 45 points against them. The possession time was impressive at just under 40 minutes, but it wasn't enough to secure victory.

The rushing attack was moderate with an average of over 3 yards per carry but failed to reach the end zone. The receiving corps showed more promise with three touchdowns and an average of over 12 yards per reception. Special teams had mixed results; while punting was strong with an average net yardage of over 45 yards, field goal attempts were less successful with only a 40 percent completion rate.

On August 25 against Prairie View A&M Panthers, RICE emerged victorious with a narrow margin. Their ground game shone brightly as they rushed for over six yards per attempt and scored three touchdowns. They also showcased defensive prowess by forcing three fumbles and recording three sacks.

However, it's worth noting that there's room for improvement in passing efficiency as well as third-down conversions based on past performances.

Looking ahead at the matchup against HAW, it's clear that RICE must capitalize on their rushing ability while tightening up defensively if they hope to come out on top in Honolulu. The Warriors will not make it easy; they'll be defending their turf fiercely.

The Owls' fans should expect a determined effort from their team as they seek redemption from previous setbacks. It will be crucial for RICE to maintain ball control through sustained drives and avoid turnovers which have been detrimental in past games.

Mark your calendars for September 9th when the Rice Owls face off against the Hawaii Warriors at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu at midnight local time (4:00 AM GMT). Fans can catch all the action live from this exciting football encounter even though no broadcast networks have been announced yet; stay tuned for updates regarding where you can follow along live.
