At Riccardo Silva Stadium, the Rice Owls struggled to keep pace against a determined Florida International team. Despite their efforts, the Owls were unable to overcome a substantial deficit. The home team's offense was in fine form as they tallied up an impressive total of 36 points against the visiting team's defense.

The Rice offense managed to accumulate a total of 232 yards throughout the game. The rushing attack contributed significantly with 125 yards on the ground and two touchdowns; one rush was notably long for a distance of 22 yards which also resulted in a touchdown. In contrast, their passing game seemed less effective as they garnered only 115 yards through air and suffered three interceptions without any passing touchdowns.

The special teams unit had some bright spots for Rice as well; they successfully converted all their kicking opportunities including one field goal from an impressive distance of 47 yards and both attempted extra points following touchdowns. Punting was consistent with an average net yardage of nearly 40 per punt and two punts landing inside the opponent's twenty-yard line.

On third down conversions, Rice managed to convert three out of nine attempts while maintaining perfect records on both red zone opportunities by scoring each time they entered that area and on their single fourth-down attempt which resulted in success.

Despite these efforts by Rice players, it wasn't enough to match up against Florida International's performance which included multiple scoring drives resulting in ten points during both second and fourth quarters respectively while keeping Rice scoreless in the final quarter.

Looking ahead after this tough outing, fans can mark their calendars for when The Rice Owls will take on North Texas Mean Green at Apogee Stadium located in Denton, Texas. This upcoming contest is scheduled for October 27th at eight o'clock PM Eastern Time Zone (7 PM Central). Supporters eager to follow along can tune into ESPN+ where live coverage will be broadcasted.
