In an intense football game at SHI Stadium, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights displayed commendable effort but ultimately fell to the Maryland Terrapins. The home team managed to accumulate a total of 355 yards throughout the game, with their rushing offense contributing an impressive 190 yards on 45 attempts. The Scarlet Knights' passing game added another 165 yards to their offensive tally.

The Rutgers defense was active on the field as well, recording one sack and five tackles for loss while also forcing one fumble which they recovered. Their defensive efforts were further highlighted by an interception that was returned for three yards. Special teams contributed positively too; they successfully blocked one kick and executed all three extra point attempts without error.

Kicking played a significant role in this contest as well; Rutgers' kicker made a notable impact by successfully converting a field goal from an impressive distance of fifty yards out. On kickoffs, they managed to send three out of five resulting in touchbacks and ended up kicking for a total of 304 yards during the game.

Despite these efforts by Rutgers, penalties posed challenges as eight flags were thrown against them amounting to eighty penalty yards. However, it's worth noting that their red zone efficiency was perfect with three visits resulting in scores each time.

As fans look forward to future games, attention turns towards the upcoming encounter between Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Miami (FL) Hurricanes at Yankee Stadium on December 28th at 7:15 PM Eastern Time. This event will be broadcasted live on ESPN for fans eager to catch all the action from Bronx's iconic venue.
