The game was marked by an explosive performance from the Bearkats' offense, which amassed a total of 561 yards. The rushing attack proved particularly devastating as they galloped for 297 yards across 40 attempts, averaging over seven yards per carry. This ground dominance was highlighted by an electrifying 77-yard touchdown run that left the Redhawks' defense grasping at shadows.

Through the air, Sam Houston State's quarterbacks maintained precision and efficiency, completing 18 of their 30 passing attempts for a total of 264 yards and three touchdowns; one pass connected for an impressive longest gain of 42 yards which also resulted in a touchdown. The receiving corps consistently found space against their opponents, with each reception averaging nearly fifteen yards.

Special teams contributed to the scoring frenzy as well with a perfect field goal attempt from fifty yards out adding to the tally. The kicking unit also successfully converted all seven extra point attempts after touchdowns.

Defensively, Sam Houston State was just as formidable. They stifled Southeast Missouri State's offense throughout much of the game and recorded two sacks totaling eleven lost yardage for their adversaries while also claiming six tackles for loss that pushed back their opponents by twenty-one additional yards. A highlight on defense included an interception return that spanned forty-nine yards and crossed into the end zone for another score.

Penalties were relatively contained with only six infractions costing them forty-six penalty yardage; this discipline allowed them to maintain control throughout most phases of play without giving away significant advantages due to errors or lapses in judgment.

As fans look ahead eagerly to future contests, they can mark their calendars for when Sam Houston State Bearkats will face off against Central Arkansas Bears at First Security Field at Estes Stadium in Conway on September twenty-fifth at four PM Central Time (5 PM Eastern Time). This upcoming game will be available for viewing on ESPN+.
