At the San Diego County Credit Union Stadium, home to over 43,000 fans that day, the Aztecs struggled to find their rhythm against a determined Bulldogs team. Despite having equal opportunities for timeouts and challenges remaining by both teams, it was clear from early on that the visiting team had taken control of the game.

The Aztecs' offense had difficulty gaining ground through air or land. Their passing game was limited to just 90 yards with a completion rate of about 48 percent. The longest pass did not exceed 13 yards and they were unable to convert any attempts into touchdowns. On top of that, they suffered four sacks which cost them valuable yardage.

On the rushing front, while they managed a total of 165 yards across 39 attempts – averaging over four yards per carry – none resulted in crossing into the end zone. Their red zone efficiency stood at only fifty percent success rate from two attempts but failed completely on their single goal-to-go opportunity.

Special teams saw some activity as well; although none of their six punts were blocked or returned for touchdowns, two managed to be placed inside the twenty-yard line contributing slightly towards field position battles.

Penalties seemed controlled as only five were called against them totaling forty penalty yards; however this discipline did not translate into points on the board or significant momentum shifts during play.

Defensively speaking there isn't much data available regarding tackles or interceptions which could suggest an area where improvements are necessary moving forward if they wish to contend more effectively in future games.

Looking ahead after this challenging encounter at home soil for The San Diego State Aztecs will be another away game against Hawaii Warriors at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Fans can mark their calendars for October 29th when this contest is scheduled to kick off at around 8:15 PM Pacific Time and can tune into ESPN2 satellite channel number two hundred nine for live coverage of what promises to be an exciting football event.
