In a display of offensive might, the San Diego State Aztecs dominated at Aloha Stadium, showcasing their ground game prowess against the Hawaii Warriors. The Aztecs' rushing attack was relentless, amassing a total of 334 yards on 53 attempts. This included a spectacular long run that culminated in a 63-yard touchdown, contributing to their three rushing touchdowns for the game.

The passing game also added to the scoreboard with one touchdown and an overall yardage of 83 from five completions out of eleven attempts. Despite one interception thrown by the Aztecs' quarterback, they maintained control throughout the game with an average gain per play standing at over six yards.

Defensively, San Diego State was just as formidable. They sacked Hawaii's quarterback three times for a loss of thirteen yards and recorded four tackles for loss among their forty combined tackles. Their defensive line held strong throughout four quarters without giving up any safeties or blocked kicks.

Special teams played their part too; although no punts were returned for touchdowns nor any blocked, they managed to keep three punts inside the twenty-yard line and achieved an average net yardage close to thirty-five on punt returns.

Penalties could have been problematic as eight flags were thrown against them resulting in ninety penalty yards; however, this did not deter them from maintaining dominance over their opponents.

Looking ahead after this commanding performance in Honolulu under artificial lights before an audience of over twenty-three thousand fans, fans can anticipate another exciting encounter when San Diego State takes on San Jose State Spartans at CEFCU Stadium on November fourth at seven-thirty PM Pacific Time. This upcoming contest will be broadcasted live on ESPNU for fans who wish to follow along as it unfolds.
