The San Jose State Spartans entered the game with determination, as reflected by their early performance. The first quarter saw them outscore the Falcons by a narrow margin of 6-3. However, as the game progressed, it became evident that maintaining this lead would be an uphill battle. Despite matching their opponents with an additional 14 points in the second quarter, they were unable to sustain this momentum into the second half.

The offensive efforts of the Spartans were led by their rushing attack which accounted for all three touchdowns and amassed a total of 115 yards on ground. Their longest rush was an impressive run of 33 yards and one touchdown came from a notable distance of nearly thirty yards. The passing game also contributed significantly with completions yielding an average gain close to seven yards per attempt and totaling up to eleven first downs.

On special teams, kickoffs covered a total distance of 251 yards across four attempts; one resulted in a touchback while three landed inside the twenty-yard line. In terms of penalties, discipline was relatively maintained as only six flags were thrown against them for forty-eight penalty yards.

Conversely, despite valiant efforts from San Jose State's defense which included three tackles for loss totaling four negative yardage on opponents' plays and thirty-one assists combined for ninety-nine defensive actions overall; they could not contain Air Force's offense effectively throughout all four quarters.

The third quarter proved pivotal as Air Force pulled ahead with seven points while holding San Jose State scoreless—a trend that continued into the fourth quarter where they added twenty-one unanswered points sealing their victory over San Jose State.

As fans look forward to future games hoping for better outcomes, attention now turns toward an away contest against Boise State Broncos at Albertsons Stadium on October eighth at twelve AM local time. This upcoming event will be broadcasted live on CBS Sports Network via satellite channel two hundred twenty-one ensuring fans won't miss any action from what promises to be another intense football showdown.
