At CEFCU Stadium, the home crowd of 13,377 witnessed an eventful game where the San Jose State Spartans showcased both offensive and defensive moments. Despite a strong start that saw them leading by 16 points after the first quarter, they were unable to maintain this momentum as the Bulls charged back with 28 unanswered points in the second quarter. The third and fourth quarters saw an additional seven points for each team respectively.

The Spartan's passing game was active throughout, achieving three touchdowns and completing half of their attempts for a total of 278 yards. Their longest pass completion was for 32 yards and they managed to convert all eight redzone attempts into scores. However, interceptions proved costly as three were thrown during the course of play.

On defense, San Jose State managed to sack South Florida's quarterback three times for a loss of seventeen yards but failed to secure any interceptions or fumble recoveries which could have turned the tide in their favor. Special teams contributed with one blocked kick but it wasn't enough to change the outcome.

The rushing attack added another dimension to their offense but only accounted for five first downs on thirty-eight attempts totaling up at just over two average yards per carry; however no touchdowns resulted from these efforts on ground.

Penalties slightly hampered both teams' progress throughout; however neither side reached double-digit infractions or amassed over one hundred penalty yards – San Jose State incurred nine penalties costing them sixty-four yards overall.

Looking ahead, fans can mark their calendars for when San Jose State will face Cal Poly Mustangs at CEFCU Stadium on September 2nd at 4:30 PM local time (Pacific Daylight Time). This upcoming game promises another opportunity for fans to support their team live from stands or follow along through various broadcast networks yet to be announced.
