Game Highlights

The game was characterized by strong defensive plays and strategic punting from the Spartans. Trent Carrizosa had an outstanding performance on special teams, punting for a total of 404 yards across nine attempts, including a long punt of 66 yards and one placed inside the 20-yard line. This effort contributed significantly to field position throughout the game.

On defense, Jordan Pollard and Jordan Cobbs led the team in tackles with seven each. Pollard also added one tackle for loss among his contributions. Isiah Revis made an impactful play with an interception returned for 40 yards, scoring a touchdown that was crucial for keeping the Spartans in contention.

Offensively, San Jose State struggled to find its rhythm. Quarterback Walker Eget completed only four out of twenty-two pass attempts but managed to connect on a significant touchdown pass of 33 yards. Floyd Chalk IV led the rushing attack with 56 yards on eighteen carries despite facing stiff resistance from UNLV's defense which limited San Jose State's ground game overall.
