First Quarter

The game began with both teams showing strong offensive capabilities. The Spartans took an early lead with Walker Eget's precise passing, accumulating significant yardage and setting up scoring opportunities. Eget completed 36 out of 58 passes for an impressive total of 473 yards and three touchdowns throughout the game. However, the Cardinal responded quickly with their own touchdown drive, keeping the score tight at 10-7 by the end of the first quarter.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, San Jose continued to apply pressure on Stanford's defense. Kyri Shoels emerged as a key player for San Jose with his ten receptions totaling 147 yards and one touchdown. Despite this offensive push from San Jose, Stanford managed to match their efforts point-for-point, resulting in another evenly scored quarter at 10-7.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw both defenses stepping up significantly as neither team managed to add points to their tally. Notably for San Jose was Gafa Faga’s defensive prowess; he recorded one sack and recovered a fumble which halted one of Stanford’s promising drives.

Fourth Quarter

As tensions rose in the fourth quarter, it became clear that this would be where decisive plays would occur. Danny Scudero shone brightly for San Jose with two touchdown receptions contributing significantly to his total of eleven catches for 135 yards during this period alone. However, despite these efforts from Scudero and others on offense like Jabari Bates who contributed crucial rushing yards when needed most – including two first downs – it was not enough against Stanford’s late-game surge which secured them victory by just one point.

A pivotal moment came when Denis Lynch successfully kicked three field goals but missed two critical attempts that could have changed outcomes drastically had they been successful; these moments were indeed part of what defined this intense matchup between these collegiate rivals known as "San Jose State Spartans vs Stanford Cardinal turning point."

After such an intense battle on turf where every play mattered immensely towards determining eventual winners or losers alike - fans can look forward eagerly anticipating next week’s home game scheduled against New Mexico Lobos taking place October third starting ten PM Eastern Daylight Time broadcast live via Fox Sports One network directly from CEFCU Stadium located within beautiful city limits found right here inside sunny California state lines!
