In an intense game of football, the South Florida Bulls showcased their offensive capabilities despite falling short against the Houston Cougars. The home team managed to accumulate a total of 437 yards throughout the game, with their passing game contributing significantly as they gained 325 yards through air. The quarterback's performance was notable with a passer rating of 132 and completing over half of his attempted passes.

The rushing efforts were persistent if not explosive for the Bulls, who carried the ball for a total of 137 yards across 55 attempts. This hard work on the ground translated into three rushing touchdowns, which were crucial in keeping them within striking distance throughout the contest. Their red zone efficiency stood out as they converted four out of five opportunities into scores.

On special teams, field goal kicking was precise with one successful attempt from within forty yards contributing to their overall score. Kickoff returns added another dimension to their play as they managed to return kicks for an average distance slightly over seventeen yards.

Defensively, South Florida made its presence felt by sacking Houston's quarterback five times and recovering one fumble during playtime. However, this defensive effort could not entirely stifle Houston's offense which put up twenty-eight points against them.

The visiting team from Houston also had moments that shone through during this matchup. They matched each step taken by South Florida but managed to edge ahead in scoring when it mattered most.

As fans look forward to future games, attention turns toward an upcoming challenge for the South Florida Bulls who will be playing away against Connecticut Huskies at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field on November fourth at seven-thirty PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch this anticipated encounter live on ESPNU satellite channel two hundred eight.
