In an intense game that saw both teams fighting for every yard, the Stanford Cardinal showcased their offensive skills by accumulating a total of 336 yards. The rushing attack contributed significantly with 151 yards on the ground over 38 attempts, averaging almost four yards per carry. Two rushing touchdowns were recorded, including one notable nine-yard score.

The passing game was equally effective for the Cardinal as they managed to put up 192 passing yards. The quarterback completed ten out of twenty-two pass attempts and threw two touchdowns without any interceptions, achieving an impressive passer rating of approximately 149. One touchdown pass was notably completed for twenty-eight yards.

Special teams played a solid role in field positioning throughout the game. The punting unit had five attempts totaling two hundred twenty-eight yards; one punt sailed sixty yards before coming to rest. Meanwhile, kickoff returns added another dimension to their play with one hundred sixteen return yards on four attempts.

Penalties could have been detrimental but were kept relatively in check by the Cardinal who incurred seven penalties amounting to seventy-three penalty yards throughout the game.

On defense, Stanford managed to force one fumble and recover it as well while also recording a sack that pushed back USC eight yards. However, despite these efforts and holding possession for nearly twenty-nine minutes of gameplay time, they fell just short on points scored against their opponents.

As fans look forward to future games, they can mark their calendars for when Stanford will take on TCU Horned Frogs at Alamodome in San Antonio on December 28th at around eight PM Central Time (CT). This upcoming contest will be broadcasted live on ESPN channel two hundred six for fans wishing to follow along from home or elsewhere.
