On defense, Tobin Phillips stood out with an exceptional performance that included 2.5 sacks and two tackles for loss among his three total tackles, contributing significantly to Stanford's four sacks on the day. Offensively, quarterback Ashton Daniels completed an impressive 77 percent of his passes for 214 yards and threw one touchdown but was intercepted twice. Wide receiver Elic Ayomanor emerged as Daniels' favorite target catching eleven passes for ninety-six yards although he did not find his way into the end zone.
