First Quarter

The opening quarter saw the home team, BYU, taking an early lead by scoring 6 points. The Trees struggled to gain momentum offensively but showed resilience on defense. Hunter Barth stood out with his defensive prowess, recording one sack and two tackles for loss.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, the Y extended their lead by adding another 8 points. Despite being unable to score themselves, Stanford's defense continued to battle hard. Clay Patterson contributed significantly with a sack and three tackles.

Third Quarter

As play resumed after halftime, BYU capitalized on their offensive opportunities by scoring an additional 10 points in this period. The Cardinal offense was unable to break through despite efforts from players like Micah Ford who managed some rushing yards but couldn't find the end zone.

Fourth Quarter

In the final quarter of play, both teams added field goals to their scoresheet; however it was too little too late for Stanford as they only managed three points overall compared against BYU’s total of twenty-seven points throughout all four quarters combined.

Despite facing challenges offensively throughout much of this matchup against such formidable opponents like those found within Cougar ranks today - there were still bright spots worth noting: Aidan Flintoft averaged over forty-three yards per punt while Emmet Kenney successfully converted his lone field goal attempt from twenty-six yards out without any misses or blocks along way either!
