In Tallahassee's Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium, the Syracuse Orange football team encountered a challenging opponent in the Florida State Seminoles. Despite their efforts, they were unable to secure victory on an outdoor turf that hosted over 50,517 attendees. The game saw the Orange accumulate a total of 319 yards compared to their opponents' higher tally.

The Syracuse offense had moments of effectiveness but struggled to convert these into points on the board. Their passing game managed only 151 yards with no touchdowns and an average gain per pass play rounding up to five yards. The rushing attack was more productive with two touchdowns and an average gain per rush play close to four yards; however, this was not enough to overcome their adversaries.

Penalties proved costly for the Orange as they racked up fourteen penalties for over one hundred yards lost. This hindered their momentum throughout various stages of the game and contributed significantly to their defeat. On special teams, while there were no blocked punts or punt returns for touchdowns by either side, Syracuse did manage one field goal from fifty yards out but missed another attempt from beyond forty-nine yards.

Defensively speaking, Syracuse managed two sacks and seven tackles for loss which showcased moments where they could disrupt Florida State's offensive rhythm. However, without any interceptions or fumble recoveries during this encounter and allowing thirty-five points against them reflects areas that need improvement moving forward.

Looking ahead after this setback on October 26th at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee under lights scheduled for a 7:30 PM kickoff time; fans can mark their calendars as Syracuse will next face Boston College Eagles on November second at JMA Wireless Dome located in Syracuse NY zip code area 13244 where fans can tune into ACC Network via satellite channel six hundred twelve for live broadcast coverage starting from four PM Eastern Time.
