In a closely contested battle at Alumni Stadium, the Syracuse Orange fell short against the Boston College Eagles, marking a 31-37 defeat. Key Moments and Performances


The game was filled with pivotal moments and standout performances from both teams. Syracuse's quarterback Kyle McCord had an impressive showing, throwing for 392 yards with a completion percentage of 65 percent and contributing two touchdowns without any interceptions. His efforts were complemented by running back LeQuint Allen who rushed for 50 yards on 16 attempts, finding the end zone twice.


On special teams, punter Jack Stonehouse played a crucial role for Syracuse with his punting accuracy placing two kicks inside the Boston College's 20-yard line out of three attempts. Meanwhile, Jackson Kennedy ensured points through special teams by successfully converting all four extra-point attempts and nailing a field goal from 25 yards out.


Despite these individual efforts, it was not enough to secure victory over Boston College. Syracuse’s defense saw commendable performances as well; Marlowe Wax contributed significantly with three tackles and assisted on two others while also recording one tackle for loss. However, Justin Barron stood out defensively by combining six tackles with one sack and adding another tackle for loss to his stat line.


Boston College managed to edge out in efficiency within critical moments of the game which included converting key third downs that kept their drives alive leading them towards scoring opportunities that they capitalized on effectively.
