First Quarter

The opening quarter saw an early lead established by the Blue Devils, who scored 10 points compared to Syracuse's 3. The Orange managed to get on the scoreboard with a field goal from Tripp Woody, who successfully converted his only attempt from 29 yards out.

Second Quarter

As the game progressed into the second quarter, Duke extended their lead significantly by adding another 14 points while keeping Cuse scoreless. Despite efforts from players like Rickie Collins and Yasin Willis, who contributed through passing and rushing respectively, Syracuse struggled to break through Duke's defense.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, Denis Jaquez Jr., one of Cuse’s defensive standouts with a sack and tackle for loss earlier in the game, continued his efforts but could not prevent another touchdown by Duke. The Orange defense showed resilience but was unable to stop key plays that led to further scoring opportunities for their opponents.

Fourth Quarter

During the final quarter of play, Antoine Deslauriers also made notable contributions on defense with his sack and tackle for loss; however, these individual performances were not enough to change momentum as Duke added another touchdown. The home team's offense found it difficult to penetrate through Duke’s defensive line throughout this period.

Syracuse fans will be looking forward to seeing how their team responds after this setback when they face off against SMU Mustangs at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas on October 4th at 3:30 PM EDT. Fans can catch all action live on ESPN Networks.
