The home crowd of 97,137 witnessed an offensive spectacle as the Texas Longhorns amassed a total of 638 yards. The passing game was particularly effective, with the quarterback throwing for 399 yards and four touchdowns. One touchdown pass was notably long, covering 43 yards. The team's completion percentage stood at an impressive 69 percent with an average gain per play of seven and a half yards.

Special teams also played their part; all field goal attempts were successful with two made field goals contributing six points to the final tally. Kickoffs were strategically placed with six resulting in touchbacks out of eight attempts.


Penalties could have been problematic for the Longhorns as they incurred eight penalties totaling to eighty-six penalty yards but managed to keep it from derailing their momentum.

On defense, they recorded one sack and six tackles for loss which helped contain the opposing offense to some extent despite conceding forty-eight points.
