This victory improved the Longhorns' impressive season record to 7-1, while the Commodores fell to a respectable 5-3. Key Performances and Game Highlights


Quinn Ewers, quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, showcased his skill with an outstanding performance that included completing 27 out of 37 passes for a total of 288 yards. His efforts resulted in three touchdowns despite two interceptions and contributed significantly to the team's victory. Ewers' precision passing played a pivotal role in maintaining possession and advancing downfield against a determined Commodore defense.


On the ground, Quintrevion Wisner led the rushing attack for Texas with an impressive display of agility and power. Wisner carried the ball 17 times for a total of 79 yards, averaging nearly five yards per carry. His teammate Jaydon Blue also contributed significantly with ten carries for 47 yards.

The receiving corps was led by DeAndre Moore Jr., who made six receptions totaling an impressive 97 yards and scored two touchdowns. Gunnar Helm also made notable contributions with four receptions totaling 46 yards.


Defensive Standouts


The defensive unit for Texas showed resilience throughout the game. Michael Taaffe stood out on defense with one interception and one forced fumble which highlighted his impactful presence on the field. Jermayne Lole and Jelani McDonald were instrumental in containing Vanderbilt's offense by contributing to tackles that limited their advance.

Special teams played their part as well; Bert Auburn successfully converted two field goals from attempts including one from forty yards out, adding crucial points to secure their win over Vanderbilt.
