At Boone Pickens Stadium, the Red Raiders showcased an impressive offensive display despite their loss to the Cowboys. The team accumulated a total of 629 yards, with both their passing and rushing attacks contributing significantly to their yardage. Special teams also played a role in this high-scoring affair as Texas Tech's kickers successfully made all five extra point attempts and completed one field goal from within the range of forty-nine yards.


On defense, Texas Tech managed to force four fumbles by their opponents and recovered two themselves. They also intercepted one pass during the course of action but were unable to return it for any yardage.

Penalties could have been problematic as seven were called against them; however, they only amounted to sixty penalty yards which did not critically hamper their performance.
