Texas Tech Red Raiders and Oregon Ducks Clash at Jones AT&T Stadium in Football Showdown

At Jones AT&T Stadium, the home crowd witnessed an intense battle where the Texas Tech Red Raiders displayed a strong offensive performance. Despite their efforts, they fell short against the Oregon Ducks. The Red Raiders accumulated a total of 456 yards throughout the game with an average gain of six yards per play. Their offense was on display as they managed to secure 29 first downs during the contest.


The passing attack for Texas Tech was led by their quarterback who completed 24 out of 40 attempts for a total of 282 yards and three touchdowns. However, interceptions were an issue as three passes were picked off by Oregon's defense, one being returned for a touchdown. On the ground, Texas Tech was able to amass 174 rushing yards with their longest run stretching to an impressive 58 yards which contributed to their single rushing touchdown.

Special teams had moments worth noting as well; Texas Tech's punting unit averaged about forty-five yards across two attempts with one punt landing inside the twenty-yard line. In terms of penalties, both teams played relatively disciplined football; however, Texas Tech did incur six penalties amounting to sixty-five penalty yards.


Defensively speaking, while there were no interceptions made by Texas Tech's defense during this game, they did manage to sack Oregon's quarterback once and recorded one special teams block that contributed significantly to keeping them competitive throughout four quarters.

As for scoring efficiency within critical areas on the field: The Red Raiders had five red zone opportunities and capitalized on four of them which translates into an eighty percent success rate. When it came down to third-down conversions they succeeded eight out of thirteen times giving them roughly sixty-one percent efficiency in those situations.
