FBC Mortgage Stadium Hosts Clash Between Tulane Green Wave and UCF Knights in College Football Showdown

The Tulane Green Wave, with a record of 2-10, faced off against the UCF Knights, who held a 9-4 record. The game ended with the Green Wave scoring 10 and the Knights finishing slightly ahead with 14.

The Tulane Green Wave's performance at FBC Mortgage Stadium was marked by a strong defensive effort that included three sacks and one forced fumble which they recovered for an additional gain of 36 yards. The defense also managed to hold back their opponents by recording ten tackles for loss, amounting to a loss of 44 yards for the Knights.


On offense, the Green Wave's ground game saw them rush for a total of 132 yards across 35 attempts, averaging nearly four yards per carry. This effort was highlighted by an eight-yard touchdown run which contributed to their ten-point tally. Their passing game added another dimension as they completed seventeen out of twenty-eight attempts for a total of 147 passing yards.

The receiving corps made sure to contribute as well with seventeen receptions on twenty-nine targets accumulating one hundred forty-seven receiving yards in total. The team showed efficiency in critical situations converting six out of sixteen third-down opportunities but were unable to capitalize on their single fourth-down attempt.


In terms of scoring opportunities within close range, Tulane converted two out three red-zone chances into points but were less successful when it came down to field goals making only one out two attempts from within twenty-nine yards.
