Tulane Green Wave Clashes with Cincinnati Bearcats at Yulman Stadium in Football Showdown

The Tulane Green Wave, with a 2-10 record, faced off against the Cincinnati Bearcats, standing at 13-1. The final score of the game was 12-31 in favor of the visiting team.

Tulane Green Wave VS Cincinnati Bearcats

In a challenging encounter at Yulman Stadium, the Tulane Green Wave football team hosted the formidable Cincinnati Bearcats. Despite their best efforts and a strong showing in certain aspects of the game, Tulane fell short as they were unable to match their opponent's scoring pace.

The home side's rushing attack was one bright spot on an otherwise tough day. The Green Wave amassed 187 rushing yards over 45 attempts, which included a notable 47-yard touchdown run that stood out as their longest play from scrimmage and only touchdown of the day. Their ground game averaged over four yards per carry and contributed significantly to their total yardage.

Tulane's defense managed to sack Cincinnati's quarterback three times for a loss of 24 yards and recorded seven tackles for loss totaling 51 yards lost by their opponents. They also secured one interception which they returned for 33 yards but couldn't capitalize on this turnover with points on the board.

Special teams had moments of success; notably, Tulane successfully converted a field goal from an impressive distance of 41 yards. Their punting unit performed adequately with an average net yardage close to forty-three per punt and two punts landing inside the twenty-yard line.

However, passing proved difficult for Tulane throughout this contest. Quarterback protection issues led to four sacks resulting in lost yardage that negated some offensive progress made during drives. The passing offense completed just half its attempts for modest gains averaging slightly above four yards per attempt while throwing two interceptions.

Penalties were nearly problematic as well; nine flags thrown against them cost them sixty-seven valuable yards although it did not breach thresholds that would highlight discipline issues more prominently within this report.

As fans look ahead after this tough outing, they can mark their calendars for when Tulane will take on UCF Knights at FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando on November sixth at eight o'clock PM Eastern Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted live on ESPNU satellite channel two hundred eight where supporters can follow all action live from Florida.
