Bulldog Stadium Hosts Gridiron Showdown: UNLV Rebels vs Fresno State Bulldogs

In a closely contested game at Bulldog Stadium, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels faced off against the Fresno State Bulldogs. The University of Nevada, Las Vegas showcased their offensive capabilities early on by securing an initial lead with 14 points in the first quarter while holding Fresno State scoreless. The Rebels' passing game was particularly effective; they completed 15 out of 28 attempts for a total of 281 yards through the air. This included an impressive longest completion that went for an explosive 80-yard touchdown. Their efficiency was also on display as they achieved a perfect red zone percentage with four successes out of four attempts and converted both opportunities when they had goal-to-go situations.


On the ground, UNLV was equally tenacious, rushing for 152 yards across 36 attempts which translated into two touchdowns – their longest rush being a substantial gain of 37 yards. Despite one lost fumble during the game, their average gain per play stood at an admirable six-point-eight yards.

Special teams contributed to UNLV's performance as well; their kicker successfully made all three extra-point kicks and nailed a field goal from within the range between thirty-nine and forty-nine yards to maintain one hundred percent accuracy on field goals during this contest.


Defensively, UNLV managed to sack Fresno State's quarterback once for seven yards lost and recorded one interception that was returned for sixteen yards. They also defended against passes effectively with one pass broken up during critical moments in defense.

Fresno State demonstrated resilience after trailing early in the game by scoring nine points in the second quarter followed by thirteen and sixteen points respectively in subsequent quarters to secure victory over UNLV. The home team's offense accumulated thirty-eight points overall including two touchdowns scored through rushing efforts which were part of their total yardage count that surpassed three hundred fifty-five.
