In front of a crowd numbering 20,154 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the UNLV Rebels put forth a valiant effort but ultimately fell short against their opponents. Despite their loss, there were several noteworthy performances from the Rebels. The passing game was particularly effective; they completed 26 out of 38 attempts for a total gain of 316 yards and two touchdowns. One pass resulted in an impressive longest touchdown completion covering 63 yards.

The rushing attack struggled to find similar success against a stout Roadrunner defense. The Rebels managed only 35 yards on the ground over 29 attempts with an average gain per rush sitting at just above one yard. They also faced difficulties maintaining possession due to turnovers; three were recorded during this matchup including one lost fumble.

Penalties also hindered UNLV's progress as they incurred seven infractions costing them a total of 36 yards throughout the game. However, their special teams unit did manage to contribute positively by successfully converting all kicks attempted: one field goal from within the range of thirty-nine yards and two extra points following touchdowns.

Defensively speaking for UNLV, there was room for improvement as no sacks or interceptions were recorded during playtime which spanned over thirty minutes on offense alone – indicating that while they had control over ball possession time-wise they could not capitalize sufficiently on these opportunities.

Looking ahead for fans eagerly anticipating future matchups involving their beloved team: The next game will see University Nevada Las Vegas hosting Utah State Aggies at Allegiant Stadium located in Las Vegas on October 16th scheduled kick-off time is set for approximately six o'clock PM local time (PDT). This event will be broadcasted live via CBS Sports Network available through satellite channel number two hundred twenty-one ensuring supporters won't miss any action from upcoming contests featuring their favorite collegiate athletes representing UNLV football squad.
