The UNLV Rebels showcased a robust defense and an effective ground game throughout the match. Punter Marshall Nichols had an impressive day with punts totaling 183 yards and successfully pinning three inside the 20-yard line, demonstrating strategic field positioning that played a crucial role in controlling the game's tempo.


On defense, Antonio Doyle Jr. stood out with one sack for six yards lost and two tackles for loss among his three total tackles, contributing significantly to stifling Kansas' offensive efforts. Jackson Woodard also made pivotal contributions with one interception returned for 26 yards and leading tackles alongside five assists.


Offensively, quarterback Matthew Sluka managed to navigate through Kansas' defense effectively despite being sacked twice. Kylin James found paydirt on one of his rushes contributing to UNLV's scoring efforts alongside Jai'Den Thomas who had eight carries yielding twenty yards showing depth in UNLV’s running back rotation.


Receiving efforts were led by Jaden Bradley who caught one pass for thirty-one yards providing critical first down conversions when needed most. The receiving corps managed efficient albeit limited production which complemented their ground game strategy well.
