UNLV Rebels Narrowly Miss Victory in Overtime Against Syracuse Orange

In a closely contested match at Allegiant Stadium, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels faced off against the Syracuse Orange in what turned out to be an edge-of-the-seat encounter that extended into overtime. The game kicked off with Syracuse taking an early lead by scoring 14 points in the first quarter while keeping UNLV scoreless. However, UNLV bounced back impressively in the second quarter with 21 points against Syracuse's 3, showcasing their resilience and fighting spirit. The third and fourth quarters saw both teams exchanging blows evenly, scoring 10 and 7 points respectively. It was during overtime that Syracuse managed to outscore UNLV by a narrow margin of three points leading to their victory.

Hajj-Malik Williams stood out for UNLV with his exceptional quarterbacking skills, throwing for 227 yards with an impressive completion rate of 84 percent which included three touchdowns despite one interception. Ricky White III emerged as Williams' favorite target catching ten passes for a total of 135 yards and securing one touchdown which contributed significantly to UNLV's offensive efforts.


On special teams, Caden Chittenden was perfect on field goals making both attempts including his longest from 39 yards out contributing crucial points for UNLV. Additionally, Charles Correa’s pivotal punt return touchdown highlighted UNLV’s special teams’ capability to change the game's momentum.
