The home team, led by their potent passing attack, amassed a total of 425 yards over the course of the game. The USC quarterback was particularly effective, completing 37 passes on 51 attempts for an impressive total of 349 yards through the air and achieving a passer rating of around 137. This aerial assault included one touchdown pass that covered 20 yards. On the ground, despite fewer attempts with only 24 rushes, they managed to add another touchdown to their tally from a run that broke free for 14 yards.

The receiving corps played an integral role in moving chains for USC as well; they caught balls thrown for an average gain per reception of about nine yards. Their efforts helped secure first downs on sixteen occasions through receptions alone. In terms of scoring efficiency within opponent's twenty-yard line, USC capitalized on all three red zone opportunities presented to them during this encounter.

Special teams also contributed to USC's yardage with kick returns totaling up to approximately fifty-seven yards across three instances and punt returns adding another twenty-two yards from just one return which was fair caught once.

Despite these offensive highlights, turnovers proved costly for the Trojans as they lost two fumbles during critical moments in this contest. Additionally, penalties were nearly detrimental; although not exceeding ten infractions or one hundred penalty yards threshold – eight penalties were called against them resulting in seventy-one penalty-yards lost and granting two first downs to Notre Dame.

On defense, USC managed to sack Notre Dame's quarterback three times throughout this encounter while also recording nine tackles for loss but could not force any interceptions or fumble recoveries which might have shifted momentum back into their favor.

As fans look ahead following this intense football game between historic rivals at United Airlines Field at LA Memorial Coliseum – where nearly sixty thousand spectators witnessed these collegiate athletes compete – attention turns toward future broadcasts featuring these teams as they continue their respective journeys through college football's challenging landscape.
