First Quarter

The game began with both teams showing offensive prowess. Utah State's Bryson Barnes led an efficient drive, completing passes that set up a field goal by Tanner Rinker. The Miners responded quickly, scoring a touchdown to take an early lead. However, the Aggies' defense tightened up as John Miller recorded one of his six tackles and contributed to limiting UTEP’s advances.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Utah State's offense found its rhythm. Miles Davis broke through for significant rushing yards, including a remarkable 58-yard touchdown run that electrified the home crowd. Meanwhile, Brevin Hamblin was pivotal on defense with seven tackles and an assist as he helped keep UTEP in check.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw Utah State extend their lead further when Bryson Barnes connected with Broc Lane for a spectacular 52-yard touchdown pass. On defense, Noah Flores made his presence felt by intercepting a crucial pass from UTEP’s quarterback which halted any momentum they were building.

Fourth Quarter

In the final quarter, despite some late efforts from the Miners who managed another score on their side of the board, it was too little too late against Utah State's resilient defense led by Bronson Olevao Jr., who added another sack to his tally for this game.

This matchup highlighted several key moments where Utah State's defensive strategies shone brightly against their opponents' attempts to gain ground—an aspect that will be critical in future games as noted in our post-game thoughts about Utah State Aggies’ performance.
