At McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas, the Utah Utes demonstrated their offensive capabilities against the Baylor Bears. The game saw the Utes amass a total of 377 yards with an average gain of 5.2 yards per play. Their rushing attack was particularly effective as they accumulated 224 rushing yards across 47 attempts and scored two touchdowns on the ground. The longest rush was an impressive run of 44 yards.

The passing game for Utah was modest but efficient; despite completing only about half their passes (12 out of 26), they managed to maintain possession for over half an hour (36:17). The defense also played a critical role by intercepting two passes and returning them for nine yards combined.

Special teams contributed to Utah's success as well; both field goal attempts were successful, including one from beyond forty-five yards. In addition to this accuracy in field goals, all extra point kicks were made following touchdowns.

The punting unit maintained pressure by placing three punts inside the twenty-yard line and achieving an average net yardage of over forty on punt returns. This special teams performance helped keep Baylor's offense in less advantageous positions throughout the game.

Penalties could have been problematic for Utah as they incurred seven penalties totaling fifty-nine penalty yards; however, this did not significantly hinder their overall performance or outcome.

As for Baylor Bears' efforts during this encounter, they managed thirteen points through tenacious play that included scoring ten points in the second quarter alone. Despite these efforts and utilizing all three timeouts available to them during gameplay, it wasn't enough to overcome Utah's lead or momentum.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought victory on foreign turf, fans can anticipate another exciting home game when Rice-Eccles Stadium hosts its next event featuring University of Utah versus Weber State Wildcats on September 16th at noon local time (6 PM UTC). This upcoming contest will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network where supporters can follow every moment as it unfolds.
