The clash unfolded at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of 52,827 spectators who were treated to Utah's dominant display on both offense and defense.

The defensive unit for the Utes was particularly formidable, registering three sacks and seven tackles for loss, effectively keeping the Bears' scoring ambitions to a mere 12 points for the duration of the contest. Connor O'Toole was a standout on defense, notching two sacks and forcing a fumble, playing a pivotal role in disrupting Baylor's offensive rhythm. In terms of special teams performance, Jack Bouwmeester's punting was strategic and impactful; he punted six times amassing 308 yards in total distance covered by his kicks, including two that landed inside the 20-yard line—tactics that significantly contributed to Utah's game strategy.

On offense, quarterback Cameron Rising had an efficient game throwing two touchdowns and completing eight out of fourteen pass attempts for a total gain of 92 yards through air. His efforts were well-supported by Micah Bernard who spearheaded the ground attack with an outstanding output of 118 yards from nineteen carries. Money Parks proved himself as Rising’s prime target catching three passes for eighty yards including one touchdown catch that played a crucial part in boosting Utah’s tally on the scoreboard.

The special teams also left their mark on this victory; Cole Becker nailed one field goal attempt while Tao Johnson turned heads with his sixty-one-yard return off a blocked field goal into another touchdown for Utah.

Looking forward to what promises to be another engaging encounter in college football action: The Utah Utes are set to go head-to-head against Utah State Aggies at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium in Logan on September 14th at precisely half-past four PM EDT.
