In a game that showcased offensive capabilities, the Vanderbilt Commodores demonstrated their passing strength at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium. The quarterback's arm was pivotal as he completed 26 passes out of 39 attempts, amassing a total of 314 yards through the air. This impressive display included three touchdown passes, with the longest being a 30-yard completion into the end zone. Despite two interceptions thrown by Vanderbilt's signal-caller, his performance yielded an admirable passer rating of nearly 150.

The ground game for the Commodores also had its moments, highlighted by a breakaway run that covered 40 yards – contributing to their overall rushing tally of 109 yards on just 24 carries. However, they were unable to find paydirt via the rush despite five red zone attempts.

Special teams played an electrifying role for Vanderbilt as well; one punt return turned into an explosive play resulting in a touchdown after covering sixty yards downfield – part of an overall special teams effort that saw them gain forty-nine return yards.

Defensively, while no interceptions were recorded by Vanderbilt players, they did manage to force one fumble and recover it themselves. Additionally, their defensive front applied pressure resulting in two sacks and two tackles for loss which combined for eleven negative yardage against Wake Forest.

On penalties front though minimal but impactful - only five flags were thrown against them totaling forty-two penalty yards which led to three first downs for Wake Forest.

Despite these efforts from Vanderbilt players across all phases of play – offense, defense and special teams – it was not enough to overcome The Demon Deacons' lead who managed thirty-six points on their scoreboard compared to twenty from The Commodores.

Fans looking forward can mark their calendars for when The Vanderbilt Commodores will take on UNLV Rebels at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September sixteenth. This upcoming game is scheduled for broadcast on CBS Sports Network satellite channel two hundred twenty-one where fans can tune in live to support their team.
