First Quarter

The game began with Vandy setting the tone early, scoring 14 points in the first quarter. Diego Pavia, leading from the quarterback position, showcased his precision by completing passes that contributed to two touchdowns. The Dores' defense was equally impressive, preventing any scoring opportunities for Charleston Southern.

Second Quarter

Continuing their momentum into the second quarter, Vandy added another 14 points to their tally. Pavia's connection with Eli Stowers proved fruitful as they executed plays that kept moving chains and securing first downs. The defensive line held firm against any offensive threats from CHSO, maintaining a clean sheet going into halftime.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, Vandy's defense continued to dominate by limiting CHSO's offensive plays and forcing turnovers. Zaylin Wood made his presence felt on defense with a crucial sack that disrupted CHSO’s rhythm. Meanwhile, Sedrick Alexander contributed significantly on offense by advancing ground yards effectively.

Fourth Quarter

As both teams entered the final stretch of play in Nashville, Vandy added another touchdown and field goal to seal their commanding lead. Brock Taylor successfully converted all extra-point attempts throughout this period while also contributing a field goal from 35 yards out.

Charleston Southern managed to score only once during this period through a field goal but struggled overall against Vanderbilt’s relentless pressure on both sides of play.
