Key Performances and Game Highlights

The Hokies' offense was unstoppable, amassing a total of 532 yards with an impressive average gain of nine yards per play. Bhayshul Tuten led the rushing attack with an outstanding performance, accumulating 266 rushing yards on 18 attempts and scoring three touchdowns. His longest run was an electrifying 83-yard dash to the end zone, marking one of the game's most memorable moments.

Quarterback Kyron Drones also had a notable game, completing 14 out of his 18 passing attempts for a total of 164 yards. He threw one touchdown pass and added two more scores on the ground, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities. Despite one interception, Drones managed an impressive quarterback rating of 161.53.

On defense, Antwaun Powell-Ryland was a force to be reckoned with. He recorded four sacks for a loss of twenty-five yards and hit the quarterback four times by himself. His efforts were pivotal in limiting Boston College's offensive production and contributing to Virginia Tech's four sacks and nine tackles for loss as part of their defensive dominance.

Special Teams and Discipline

Peter Moore punted three times for Virginia Tech, averaging over forty-five net yards per punt and placing none inside the twenty-yard line but still managing effective field position control throughout the game.

Penalties were an area needing improvement for both teams; however, they did not significantly impact Virginia Tech's path to victory. The Hokies incurred nine penalties costing them eighty-eight yards but managed to maintain control over their gameplay despite these setbacks.

Looking ahead, Virginia Tech fans can mark their calendars for October 26th when Lane Stadium will host another exciting matchup as Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets visit Blacksburg in what promises to be another thrilling encounter in this season’s lineup. Fans can catch all live action broadcasted on ACC Network starting at noon EDT from Lane Stadium itself or through satellite channel number six hundred twelve.
