Defensively, Washington was just as impressive. The team recorded two sacks and four tackles for loss while limiting Northwestern to just five points throughout four quarters. Defensive ends Voi Tunuufi and Isaiah Ward each contributed with a sack apiece, disrupting Northwestern's offensive rhythm consistently.


Special Teams Impact


Special teams also played a crucial role in Washington's comprehensive win. Kicker Grady Gross successfully converted one field goal from within thirty yards but missed another attempt from beyond fifty yards out; however his contributions helped extend Washington’s lead during critical moments of play.
