Washington Huskies Face Setback Against Undefeated Indiana Hoosiers

In a week 9 showdown, the Washington Huskies fell to the Indiana Hoosiers with a final score of 17-31. The loss brings the Huskies' season record to 4-4, while the Hoosiers maintain their unbeaten streak, advancing to an impressive 8-0.

Huskies' Efforts and Highlights


Despite the defeat, several Washington players delivered noteworthy performances. Quarterback Will Rogers completed 73 percent of his passing attempts for a total of 202 yards. However, his efforts were marred by two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by the opposing team. On the ground, running back Jonah Coleman showcased his agility and strength, rushing for 104 yards on 19 carries with an average of over five yards per carry.


Special teams also had their moments in the spotlight. Punter Jack McCallister averaged nearly 54 yards across four punts, placing one inside the opponent's 20-yard line and contributing significantly to field position battles throughout the game. Kicker Grady Gross successfully converted all attempted kicks including one field goal from 23 yards out and two extra points.

Hoosiers' Dominant Performance


The Indiana Hoosiers demonstrated why they remain undefeated this season with a solid performance on both sides of the ball. Their offense capitalized on opportunities provided by their defense which forced turnovers at critical junctures in the game.
