First Quarter

The Dawgs set the tone in the first quarter with a solid defensive performance that kept Purdue scoreless. Washington's offense capitalized on this momentum as Adam Mohammed found the end zone for his first of three rushing touchdowns. This early lead was crucial in establishing dominance over the Boilers.

Second Quarter

Washington's offensive prowess shone brightly in the second quarter as they added 21 points to their tally. Demond Williams Jr., showcasing precision passing, connected with Audric Harris for a stunning 61-yard touchdown pass. The Huskies' defense continued to stifle Purdue's efforts, forcing multiple three-and-outs and maintaining pressure on their quarterback.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, Jordan Washington electrified fans with a remarkable 68-yard touchdown run that highlighted his speed and agility. Meanwhile, Zach Durfee contributed defensively by recording one of three sacks against Purdue’s quarterback. Despite managing only a field goal during this period, Purdue struggled to gain any significant traction against Washington’s relentless defense.

Fourth Quarter

Although trailing significantly entering the fourth quarter, Purdue managed to put up some points through both a field goal and a late touchdown drive. However, it was too little too late as Kai Horton sealed Washington’s victory by adding another rushing touchdown for good measure.

The final whistle confirmed what many had witnessed throughout: an emphatic win for UDUB over their Big Ten opponents from Indiana—an outcome reflected clearly in both teams’ records post-game: Washington now stands strong at 7-3 while Purdue languishes further down standings tables at just two wins out of eleven matches played thus far this season—a stark contrast indeed!
