Looking back at the recent performance of WVU, there's a mixed bag of results that can be dissected. On November 16 against Kansas State Wildcats, WVU emerged victorious with a scoreline of 24-20. This win was characterized by an effective passing game that saw a completion percentage of 67 and three touchdowns thrown without any interceptions. The defense also stepped up, recording two sacks and two interceptions. However, it's worth noting that their rushing attack struggled, averaging just over three yards per carry.

In contrast, when WVU faced Texas Tech Red Raiders on November 9 at home, they suffered a defeat with a score of 38-17. Despite racking up an impressive total yardage count of 559 yards through the air and ground combined, turnovers were their undoing; they lost two fumbles and threw two interceptions.

The most concerning performance came against Baylor Bears on November 1 where WVU scored only 14 points while conceding 17. The offense could barely muster any ground game with an average rush yard per attempt under one yard. Additionally, penalties proved costly as they gave up almost ninety yards due to infractions.

Despite these setbacks in previous games, there are positive takeaways for WVU heading into their next encounter against OKS. Their passing offense has shown flashes of brilliance which could exploit OKS's secondary if they maintain consistency and composure from their quarterback position.

Defensively speaking, if WVU can replicate the pressure they managed against Baylor—where they recorded eight sacks—they might disrupt OKS's offensive rhythm significantly.

The upcoming game promises to be an exciting affair between these two teams who are looking to establish themselves further this season. Fans should expect WVU to come out with determination after reflecting on past performances and making necessary adjustments especially in reducing turnovers which have plagued them recently.

The showdown between West Virginia Mountaineers and Oklahoma State Cowboys will take place on Saturday afternoon at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown; kickoff is scheduled for noon local time (5:00 PM GMT). Fans eager not to miss any action can tune into ESPN2 or satellite channel number 209 for live coverage.
