The Badgers came out strong in the first quarter, putting up 14 points to LSU's zero. Their offensive unit was on full display throughout the game as they amassed an impressive total of 506 yards. The passing game was particularly effective; quarterback play resulted in a completion percentage of 68 and three touchdowns through the air. One pass connected for a significant gain of 53 yards which also resulted in the longest touchdown for Wisconsin.

Wisconsin's ground game contributed effectively as well, with rushing attempts totaling to 128 yards and one touchdown – their longest rush being a notable run of 33 yards that found its way into the end zone. Despite two fumbles by Wisconsin, only one was lost to LSU.

Special teams had mixed results; while they managed to make one field goal from within the range of twenty-nine yards, another attempt from beyond fifty yards missed its mark. However, their efficiency shone through during red zone opportunities where they scored on three out of four chances – showcasing an impressive success rate.

On defense, though no sacks were recorded by Wisconsin against LSU’s quarterback, there was an interception that added ten return yards to their tally. The defensive squad also managed two tackles for loss among their seventy-one combined tackles.

LSU Tigers responded throughout each quarter after being down initially but ultimately secured victory with consistent scoring across all quarters except for the first. They matched up closely with Wisconsin’s performance but edged ahead when it mattered most.
