Looking back at the previous games, it's clear that the Wyoming Cowboys have been building momentum. On September 25th, despite falling short against BYU with a score of 24-38, they demonstrated resilience and an ability to move the ball effectively with an average gain of 4.6 yards per play and no turnovers. Their rushing game was solid, averaging almost 3.6 yards per carry and securing one touchdown on the ground.

Their performance was even more impressive during their September 17th victory over Air Force Falcons where they eked out a win with a score of 17-14. The offense clicked well that day, achieving an average gain of nearly 5.9 yards per play and converting over half of their third-down attempts.

The most telling game came on September 10th when they dominated Northern Colorado Bears with a convincing scoreline of 33-10. The defense was particularly aggressive, racking up five sacks and forcing two fumbles while also snagging two interceptions – showcasing their ability to disrupt opposing offenses significantly.

The upcoming game against SJS is set against this backdrop of growing confidence within WYO ranks – both offensively and defensively. While SJS will undoubtedly bring their A-game, it's hard not to favor WYO given their recent performances coupled with home-field advantage.

WYO fans should expect another strong showing from their team's defense which has been instrumental in keeping games close or turning them in favor of WYO when it mattered most. Offensively, if WYO can maintain possession time as they did in past games while minimizing penalties which have occasionally stalled drives – there is every reason to believe they can outscore SJS come game day.

Mark your calendars for October 1st when these two teams clash under the lights at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie starting at 5:30 PM local time (MDT). Fans unable to attend can catch all the action live on CBS Sports Network via satellite channel number 221 – don't miss what promises to be an exciting encounter between these college football rivals!
