In Laramie's Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium, the Wyoming Cowboys struggled to find their rhythm against a determined New Mexico Lobos defense. Despite their efforts and possession time of nearly 26 minutes, the Cowboys could only muster a single field goal from their offensive endeavors. The field goal was executed flawlessly from within 29 yards, contributing to their only score of the game.

The Cowboys' offense covered a total of 255 yards throughout the game but failed to convert this yardage into points on the board. Their passing game saw them complete just under half of their attempts for 147 yards but without adding any touchdowns. On top of that, an interception was thrown which did not aid in their offensive campaign.

On the ground, Wyoming managed to rush for 108 yards over 36 attempts. However, they were unable to break through for any significant gains – with their longest rush being just over ten yards – and did not visit the end zone via rushing plays either.

Special teams had an average day with punts totaling four attempts and covering a distance of 153 yards; however none were blocked nor returned for touchdowns. Penalties seemed controlled as they incurred seven penalties amounting to less than forty penalty yards.

Defensively speaking, while no sacks or interceptions were recorded by Wyoming's defense during this encounter – they did manage four tackles for loss which set back New Mexico's offense by nine total yards.

Looking ahead after this setback at home soil against New Mexico Lobos football team; fans can look forward to watching Wyoming Cowboys take on San Jose State Spartans next week at CEFCU Stadium in San Jose on October 30th at an evening kickoff time broadcasted live on Fox Sports 2 satellite channel number six hundred eighteen (618). This upcoming game presents another opportunity for redemption as they continue through this season's schedule.
