The game held at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium was attended by 20,002 fans who witnessed the home team struggle to find their rhythm. The Wyoming Cowboys were unable to score throughout the four quarters of play. Despite their efforts, they ended up with zero points against Fresno State's 17.

The offense of the Wyoming Cowboys had difficulty gaining ground against a stout Bulldogs defense. They managed only 271 total yards and achieved an average gain of just over four yards per play. The passing game was particularly stifled; out of 30 attempts, only nine were completed for a total of 143 yards and an average yardage per completion standing around sixteen yards. Unfortunately for the home crowd, these efforts did not translate into touchdowns or field goals as evidenced by four interceptions thrown and one missed field goal attempt from beyond fifty yards.

On special teams, there was little to cheer about either; although one kickoff resulted in a touchback from their single attempt totaling sixty-five yards. Punting was more frequent with five attempts averaging approximately forty-two yards each and placing four inside Fresno State's twenty-yard line.

The rushing attack fared slightly better than passing but still fell short of breaking through Fresno State's defense effectively. With thirty-three attempts on the ground totaling one hundred twenty-eight rushing yards and an average close to four yards per carry, no touchdowns were recorded on this front either.

Defensively speaking, there were some positive takeaways for the Wyoming Cowboys despite being unable to prevent seventeen points scored by their opponents. They registered one sack and three tackles for loss while holding firm on third down conversions fifty percent of times faced with such situations.

Looking ahead after this tough outing against Fresno State Bulldogs, fans can turn their attention towards another opportunity as the Wyoming Cowboys prepare to host New Mexico Lobos at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie on October 23rd at 1:30 PM local time (19:30 UTC). This upcoming game will be broadcasted on STADIUM network where supporters can follow all live action hoping for a better outcome than what transpired today.
