Wyoming Cowboys Battle Hard but Fall to San Jose State Spartans in Week 8 Showdown

In a challenging Week 8 matchup, the Wyoming Cowboys faced off against the San Jose State Spartans, concluding with a score of 14-24. Game Highlights


The Wyoming Cowboys showcased resilience and strategic gameplay throughout the match. Jack Culbreath's punting was notable with eight attempts totaling 300 yards and three landing inside the 20-yard line, contributing significantly to field position battles. On defense, Braden Siders made an impact with one sack for ten yards and a quarterback hit that added pressure on the Spartan's offense.


Offensively, Evan Svoboda completed passes for a total of 194 yards including one touchdown but was intercepted once. His efforts were complemented by Kaden Anderson who threw for another touchdown and totaled 116 passing yards despite facing two interceptions. John Michael Gyllenborg emerged as a key receiver with five receptions totaling an impressive 137 yards and scoring one touchdown.


Defensive Standouts


On defense, Wrook Brown stood out by securing an interception alongside seven tackles which contributed to halting Spartan advances. Tyrecus Davis also made his presence felt by forcing a fumble that highlighted the Cowboys' defensive efforts during critical moments in the game.


Despite these individual performances and moments of brilliance from both sides of the ball for Wyoming, penalties proved costly with eight infractions setting them back by sixty-nine yards overall.
