Air Force Falcons Set to Clash with San Diego State Aztecs at Viejas Arena

As the Air Force Falcons prepare to take on the San Diego State Aztecs at Viejas Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Falcons have been soaring high recently, and their performance in past games suggests they could very well continue their ascent.

Air Force Falcons VS San Diego State Aztecs

In their last game against Northern Colorado Bears on December 21st, the Falcons secured a narrow victory with a final score of 67-65. Their resilience was evident as they fought tooth and nail, showcasing an impressive two-point shooting percentage of 58 percent. Despite being outrebounded by the Bears who had 40 rebounds compared to AFA's 33, the Falcons managed to maintain composure and clinch the win.

A more dominant display was seen in their game on December 18th against Tarleton State Texans where AFA triumphed with an emphatic scoreline of 81-67. The team's offensive prowess was on full display as they shot an astounding 71 percent from inside the arc and an equally impressive three-point percentage of 41 percent. Their defensive efforts were not overshadowed either; seven blocks and four steals contributed significantly to this comprehensive victory.

The most telling performance came earlier in December when AFA faced off against Arkansas State Red Wolves. The Falcons dominated both halves of the game ending with a comfortable score difference (80-55). Their offensive efficiency was through the roof – shooting over half their field goals successfully at a rate of approximately 56 percent while also maintaining excellent free throw accuracy at around 85 percent.

What stands out for AFA is not just their scoring ability but also how effectively they've been able to convert defense into offense. With an assist-to-turnover ratio peaking at nearly five during these past games, it’s clear that teamwork is central to their strategy – moving the ball efficiently and capitalizing on every opportunity presented by turnovers.

While SDSU will undoubtedly pose a challenge given its home-court advantage at Viejas Arena, it would be unwise to underestimate this Air Force squad that has shown tenacity and skill in abundance. If recent performances are anything to go by, fans can expect another strong showing from AFA as they aim for supremacy over SDSU.

The upcoming battle between these two teams is scheduled for December 29th at Viejas Arena in San Diego, CA. Tip-off is set for late evening under Pacific Time Zone conditions (8:00 PM PT), which translates into an even later start time for those following from Mountain Time Zone territories where Air Force hails from (9:00 PM MT). Fans eager not to miss any action can tune into Fox Sports channel number two hundred nineteen or catch national coverage provided by Fox Sports one network.
