Air Force Falcons VS UNLV Rebels

The Air Force Falcons showcased resilience throughout the match. Despite trailing slightly in field goal percentage at 39 percent compared to UNLV's 42 percent, they excelled at free throws with an impressive 90 percent accuracy rate. The team's effort from beyond the arc was notable as well; they sank eight three-pointers at a 35 percent success rate.

On defense, the Falcons managed two blocks and matched that number in steals. They also demonstrated strong teamwork with a total of 14 assists during play. However, turnovers proved costly for them as they gave up possession on 17 occasions which translated into 14 points for their opponents off those turnovers.

The Runnin' Rebels capitalized on fast breaks scoring an impressive total of fifteen fast break points and outpaced their rivals in steals with eleven takeaways leading directly to twenty-one points off turnovers. Their defensive efforts were bolstered by five blocks and maintaining pressure that led to twenty personal fouls against them.

As time wound down in overtime, it became clear that despite a valiant effort by the Air Force team including thirteen additional points scored during this period – it would not be enough against UNLV’s twenty-one overtime points which ultimately sealed their fate.
