Air Force Falcons Set to Soar Against Colorado State Rams at Moby Arena

As the Air Force Falcons prepare to face off against the Colorado State Rams, fans are looking forward to what promises to be an exhilarating encounter at Moby Arena. The Falcons, coming off a narrow defeat with a score of 67-70 against the San Jose State Spartans on January 14th, will be eager to return to winning ways.

In that recent clash, despite falling short by three points, the Air Force showcased their resilience and fighting spirit. They managed a commendable field goal percentage of 52 percent and were particularly effective from beyond the arc, hitting 43 percent of their three-point attempts. Their two-point shooting was even more impressive at 59 percent. However, it was their free-throw performance that left much to be desired as they only made 57 percent from the line – an area they'll need to improve upon.

The defensive prowess of AFA was evident with six blocks and two steals but this wasn't enough as they allowed SJSU too many second-chance points (12) which ultimately contributed to their downfall. The Falcons also had fewer personal fouls than SJSU (11 versus 16), indicating disciplined defense without giving away too many easy points from free throws.

Looking back further into AFA's season reveals some inconsistencies in their performances. On January 10th against Nevada's Wolf Pack in Reno, they suffered another close loss with a scoreline reading 54-67 in favor of NEV. Despite having five steals and blocking three shots in that game, turnovers were a significant issue for AFA as they gave up possession thirteen times which translated into ten points for NEV off turnovers.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for Falcon fans; there are positives that can be drawn from these games heading into their next matchup against CSU. For instance, AFA has shown that they can maintain high shooting percentages under pressure which could prove vital in tight situations.

The upcoming game is crucial for both teams but especially so for AFA who must leverage every strength while addressing weaknesses seen in past performances if they wish to secure victory on foreign territory come January 16th at Moby Arena.

Falcons supporters should mark their calendars for this pivotal match-up scheduled at Moby Arena on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM Mountain Time Zone (MT). Fans unable or unwilling to make the trip can still catch all the action live via internet broadcast on MW Network – ensuring no one misses out on what is sure to be an enthralling contest between these conference rivals.
