Air Force Falcons Edge Out in Nail-Biter Against Bulldogs at Clune Arena

The Air Force Falcons faced a tough challenge against the Bulldogs, ending with a closely contested 68-66 outcome. The Falcons now stand with an even record, while the Bulldogs have added another victory to their tally.

Air Force Falcons VS Fresno State Bulldogs

At Clune Arena, home of the Air Force Falcons, fans witnessed an intense conference game that saw nine lead changes and was tied nine times. The visiting team managed to secure a narrow win despite a resilient effort from the host team. The Bulldogs showed precision from beyond the arc with an impressive three-point shooting percentage of 62 percent, making eight out of thirteen attempts.

The Air Force Falcons demonstrated strong offensive skills by converting 63 percent of their two-point shots and scoring 30 points in the paint. Their defense was also noteworthy as they blocked five shots and made eleven steals throughout the game. With seventeen assists to their credit, they showcased effective ball distribution against their opponents' ten assists.

Despite trailing at halftime with both teams locked at 28 points each, the Falcons fought back valiantly in the second half but fell just short by two points. They were less successful from the free-throw line compared to their adversaries who shot 75 percent; however, they did manage to capitalize on turnovers better than Fresno State's Bulldogs by scoring fourteen points off turnovers.

One area where both teams matched up evenly was fast break points; each scored ten fast break points during play. However, it was perhaps rebounding that made a significant difference – while Fresno State pulled down thirty-one rebounds including twenty-six personal rebounds, Air Force grabbed twenty-six rebounds with twenty-three personal ones.

Looking ahead for fans of the Air Force Falcons is an away game against San Jose State Spartans scheduled for February 13th at Provident Credit Union Event Center in San Jose at 7:00 PM local time (Pacific Time). This upcoming matchup can be watched on NBCS-BA channel number 696 for those eager to follow along as it unfolds live on television.
