Can the Falcons Soar Past the Rebels' Defense in Clune Arena Showdown?

In a recent matchup at Clune Arena, the Air Force Falcons faced a challenging opponent in the Runnin' Rebels. The game ended with a score of 72-43, favoring the visitors. The Runnin' Rebels now stand with an unblemished record, while the Falcons have yet to secure a victory.


Air Force Falcons VS UNLV Rebels

The Air Force Falcons entered their home court with determination but encountered stiff resistance from UNLV's defense. Despite their efforts, they were outscored by 29 points by game's end. The first half saw them trailing by 13 points and they were unable to close that gap in the second half, adding only 19 points to their tally.


The Falcons showcased resilience on defense with an impressive eight blocks and seven steals during the game. However, this defensive effort was overshadowed by their offensive struggles; they shot just 35 percent from field goal range and an even more concerning 18 percent from beyond the arc.


On offense for Air Force, there was some success inside as they made over half of their two-point attempts at a rate of 54 percent and scored 22 points in paint. However, free throw opportunities were scarce as they only took three shots from the line throughout the entire game.


UNLV's performance was marked by efficiency on both ends of the floor. They boasted a field goal percentage of 50 and converted on more than half of their two-point attempts at a rate of 56 percent. Their prowess inside was evident as well with them scoring an overwhelming majority of their points in paint totaling to forty.


The Runnin' Rebels also capitalized on turnovers scoring nine points off turnovers compared to just four for Air Force. Additionally, UNLV dominated rebounding with forty-four total rebounds including thirteen offensive boards which led to fifteen second chance points.
