Air Force Falcons Narrowly Miss Victory in Laramie Against Wyoming Cowboys

In a closely contested match at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, the Air Force Falcons faced off against the Wyoming Cowboys, concluding with a final score of 62-69. The Falcons now stand with an additional loss to their record, while the Cowboys celebrate another victory. Despite a strong start that saw the Falcons leading by 12 points at one point, they were unable to maintain their momentum into the second half.

Key Highlights from the Game


The Air Force Falcons showcased a commendable performance during the first half of the game, scoring 38 points compared to 28 by Wyoming. However, as play resumed after halftime, they struggled to keep up with an invigorated Cowboys team that put up 41 points in comparison to their own 24. This shift in dynamics ultimately led to their defeat despite having led for significant portions of the match.


Wesley Celichowski emerged as a standout player for the Falcons, contributing significantly with 16 points and maintaining an impressive field goal percentage of 64 percent. His efforts on court were complemented by Kyle Marshall and Beau Becker who both added 10 points each to Air Force's tally. Marshall also demonstrated his prowess on defense with seven rebounds and one block.


On Wyoming's side, their ability to capitalize on turnovers was evident as they scored 12 points off turnovers compared to five by Air Force. Additionally, their dominance under both baskets was clear; they outrebounded Air Force with a total of 40 rebounds against Air Force's 27 and secured more second-chance points (19).
